Product update · First-use writing trial

See one example, then write your first sentence

LangStep's first-use trial reduces the guest path to a short Chinese example beside a writing area. The learner can begin immediately, keep the draft locally, and choose registration when they want to save it and continue toward feedback.

What changed?

Extra steps between seeing an example and writing can make a first trial feel like setup instead of learning.

  • Places the example and writing area in one first-use view.
  • Removes separate read and warm-up gates before the first draft.
  • Keeps registration after the learner has written something meaningful.

Learning example

See the change in context

你好!我是安娜。我学习中文。

Nǐ hǎo! Wǒ shì Ānnà. Wǒ xuéxí Zhōngwén.

Hello! I am Anna. I study Chinese.

How to use it

Start with a short text, notice the language you need, and write a response that remains your own. Use support as a next step rather than as a replacement for thinking.

  • Read the example
  • Write one meaningful sentence
  • Use a focused hint if blocked
  • Revise and save your version

What LangStep does not do

  • The trial is a small practice entry point, not a placement test.
  • A local guest draft is not yet part of a saved learner history.
  • Feedback and continued learning require the next account step.

Keep learning
