Product update · AI writing feedback

Use feedback to revise your own Chinese writing

LangStep's first AI feedback flow connects a saved writing draft to a lesson-aware prompt. It returns guidance for revision while the learner remains responsible for deciding what to change and how to say it.

What changed?

Beginners need help noticing problems in a Chinese draft, but a feedback tool should not turn practice into copying a replacement answer.

  • Adds a saved-draft feedback request for a writing task.
  • Uses the lesson package and draft as the context for feedback.
  • Records feedback as a revision aid rather than replacing the learner's writing process.

See the change in context

我喜欢学习中文,但是汉字很难。

Wǒ xǐhuān xuéxí Zhōngwén, dànshì Hànzì hěn nán.

I like learning Chinese, but Chinese characters are difficult.

How to use it

Start with a short text, notice the language you need, and write a response that remains your own. Use support as a next step rather than as a replacement for thinking.

  • Read the example
  • Write one meaningful sentence
  • Use a focused hint if blocked
  • Revise and save your version

What LangStep does not do

  • AI feedback can be imperfect and should be checked against the intended meaning.
  • Feedback depends on the task context and the draft that the learner submits.
  • The tool supports revision; it does not establish proficiency or provide a teacher's final judgment.
